Darling Daughter and I had a Mother Daughter week. We rented an Airbnb in Danville, Kentucky (part of the Bourbon Trail area). We really had fun picking out our house and were very pleased with it. I would love to have known how old the house was, but look at some of the details...the flooring, the woodworking throughout. We did lots of knitting here in the living room.
The kitchen was well appointed, giving us the ability to have fun cooking together. We had selected a handful of new recipes to try and that added to the fun.
**We toured Bourbon Distilleries
***We tasted Bourbon, and bought Bourbon
****We found a yarn shop
*****We knitted
******We cooked
Stay tuned for more of our trip to Bourbon Country!
Danville is a nice small town with a pretty university, lots of history, and right on the Bourbon Trail. Check it out. It also has a nice selection of Airbnb of varying sizes to accommodate different sized groups.
Kentucky is a state I have not had the opportunity to visit as yet. I t sounds like you and your daughter had a very nice time together is this lovely AirBnB. It is nice to spend quality time like that ! I'd also enjoy tasting some Kentucky Bourbon and seeing how it was made. I've dome that at a few distilleries through the years.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat. It was a nice blend of things to do. We both like a good Bourbon and touring the distilleries was fun and educational.
DeleteWhat a wonderful mother, daughter week. Love the rental. Wow. Precious memories were made that week.
DeleteLove your name.
Have a fabulous day and week. ♥
Thank you Sandee, we thought this was one of our better airbnb's. Really enjoyed our time there.
DeleteLove your blog and your sense of humour! Thanks for leaving a comment for me! Sorry no prize for first to comment! 😂
ReplyDeleteShoot, no prize, lol. Thanks for the visit. Will add you to my blog list.
DeleteThank you for coming to visit Dani today. She is a Maine Coon cat so quite big even though a female at 22 lb. What a lovely AirBNB! The accommodations and the food look top notch. Wishing you a great trip the rest of the way. Mom and daughter time is so special.
ReplyDeleteWish you had left your name and url instead of signing as anonymous so I could find my way to your blog again.
DeleteHow wonderful to spend time with your daughter and get to do something fun like this. I would love to plan some trips with my sons. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteIt really was a lovely trip. Hope you get to plan something with your sons.
DeleteThis looks wonderful, especially the antique features of the AirBNB. Thanks for your visit to Buttercupland. Stonehenge is great, but look up Avebury, not too far away and you can wander among the stone monuments, plus there's a manor house and church to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit, and the recommendation. I'm making a note, appreciate the info about Avebury.
DeleteMy wife and her daughter spent a whole week in Iceland and had a great time. Now Miriam and I are musing about going there together. I think we'll wait until the chaos in airports everywhere get smoothed out a little though.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun trip for your wife and daughter. Agree the airports right now are crazy. Hubby just got back from a business trip and waited over 30 minutes to get his luggage while I was in the cell lot at the airport waiting to hear he was ready to be collected.
DeleteWhat a lovely house! The food looks delicious (and healthy)!
ReplyDeleteThe food was delicious and we loved the house. It was a good girls trip.
