Budweiser Brewery, St. Louis, Missouri

We toured The Budweiser Brewery when we traveled to St. Louis. It was still an American owned, family owned company at the time. Sad to know after all the traditional things we saw it no longer fits that category. The plant is spotless, the guided tours are interesting and educational. I particularly enjoyed the historic buildings, and pictures of the original family members.

The building that served as the school for family and workers is still in use, occupied as office space now.

This is a good tourist item for a rainy day and general travel throughout St. Louis.

At the end of the tour you do have options of tasting. I'm not a beer drinker; but my husband and daughter enjoyed that part. I'm a wine drinker. Didn't want to give the wrong idea here. There's pop for the kids too, so no one is left out.

  2. Hey Sandy,
I know you, hubby & your daughter enjoyed the tour & you're getting pretty fancy with the slide show and all. Wow! You really want to win that contest and I believe you will. I did get in 9 holes of golf on Friday morning. We've been having lots of rain lately. I plan on going again tomorrow if the rain holds off. Did you check out my last post again. This really works and is paying off big time for us. Have a great week my friend!

  3. Yeah, the slide thing is different, kinda fun for a change of pace. Hope everyone else likes it too.

I did get to read a bit about the gas club, and need to do some math to compare with what we've got here.

    Thanks Eddie
Glad you got to play some golf

  4. Neat slide show! I toured the Budweiser Brewery in St. Louis many, many years ago and we also visited the one in Fort Collins, CO many times when we lived in Loveland and my favorite part of the tour was the Clydesdales! The tours are always fun too though!

Played that round of golf this morning and had a wonderful time of fellowship. As far as the game went, I would have been more productive in front of my computer. lol Hope you are having a great day!

  10. Very interesting post. I visited a chocolate factory/museum a few weeks ago but beer is definitely more my cup of, well, beer. Thanks for visiting my skiing blog, and for the constructive suggestions.

  11. That used to be my father's favorite thing to do on vacations, touring breweries... I can still remember that smell! I think to this day, it's the reason I can't stand beer... Now me and hubby drag our children to tour wineries... And the circle continues!

  12. Well this sounds like a tour for everyone and that nowadays is unusual.

I thought that you might just have had one sip of the beer though ... as they say in some parts of England 'a sup for old times sake!'

  13. Beautiful pictures Sandy. I've never been to St. Louis...although it's on our list. The closest we came was a layover in the airport on our way to Arizona. We toured the The Anheuser-Busch Brewery here in Williamsburg, Va years ago. I think it's closed to tours now though. Nice time and great samples!

  14. We were in Busch Gardens this summer and I remember being there as a kid and my Dad touring the brewery and having samples. Unfortunately they don't do that anymore but it's nice to know there are some places that still do.
