  1. I have to admit that I've never snow skied. I know, I grew up in Michigan and I've never skied. Argentina looks like a good place to learn:) I just want to have a good old fashioned snow day for the kids, where the snow lasts for more than 30 minutes...is that too much to ask?

  2. I haven't gone skiing in years, but it would be fun in foreign country.

Thank you for visiting & commenting on my recent post. It was the first time I had been to China and I did love it. If you decide to go, join a tour to make it less intimidating.

  6. If your traveling in the summer (winter in the US), go to Mar del Plata, which has beautiful beaches and great night life (whether you're young or old) and go all the way down to Patagonia , the closest you'll get to Antarctica. If traveling during winter (summer in the US) you have to go to Bariloche for some nice snow-skiing.

During any season, you have to go to Buenos Aires and enjoy its very European lifestyle. There are good theaters, tango shows, the shopping is great and the exchange if very favorable for most tourists (can't return without buying fine leather goods) and of course, the food! The food is to die for and very cheap. Great beef if you love meat. Great choices if you're vegetarian. Don't miss the grilled Provoletta. A big meal including appetizer, nice steak entree, dessert, wine or beer in a restaurant doesn't go for more than $ 18 per person. Get ready some weeks before you leave and try to loose the pounds you're going to gain down there.

  7. Argentina is like the France of South America. They are snooty! But you have less of a chance of getting shot than you do in Brazil. Also, not a lot of snow in Brazil.

  9. The earliest evidence of humans in Argentina is in Patagonia and dates from 11,000 BC. The Inca Empire under King Pachacutec invaded and conquered present-day northwestern Argentina in 1480, integrating it into a region called Collasuyu; the Guaraní developed a culture based on yuca, sweet potato and yerba maté.

  20. One of the places that are on our list is Argentina. I didn’t know too much about this place and I even didn’t know that they also have snow in there until I found this website, ArgentinaSki.com. Then, it became one of the most interesting places that we really want to go. We have seen a lot of “tourism-related” TV show about Argentina, and all of them were just so amazing. Argentina is the second largest country is South America and contains a whole lot of incredible scenes and views such as the Puerto Moreno Glacier of Patagonia, Iguazu Falls of Litoral, and many more interesting spots and entertainment especially in the city of Buenos Aires.
